Ali MC is a Melbourne-based writer, photographer and musician who’s work takes him around the globe. Passionate about people, culture and politics, his work often explores little known aspects of the world around us.

His writing has seen him document a range of international human rights issues for publications such as Al Jazeera and the Guardian, as well as producing the full-length ‘punk rock travel book’, The Eyeball End.

Through photography, Ali MC has documented the hardships of life for Rohingya refugees, Khasi stone breakers and East Timorese rubbish dump workers, with his work appearing in numerous publications and galleries.

His music also reflects the diversity of the cultures he experiences, and has seen him work with Aboriginal didgeridoo players, African drummers and Indian tabla players, performing in both Australia and New Zealand.

With a Masters in Human Rights Law, and degrees in Education and the Arts, Ali MC (real name Alister McKeich) approaches each of his projects with an informed and highly articulate view.
